The Samsung Wave boasts a simply gorgeous Super AMOLED display!

The latest Smartphone which Samsung have designed and produced is the new Samsung Wave; the phone offers us a preview of future mobile technology with its 3.3 inch Super AMOLED display, Bada operating system and HD video recorder. Samsung have given there new phone Flash capabilities with its Dolfin mobile web browser and the Wave comes fully equipped with both e-mail and social network integration.

The talented design team at Samsung have given the Wave a traditional and futuristic appearance, if that is possible? Samsung traditionally design there products to look futuristic, the casing around the phone compliments the wonderful Super AMOLED screen perfectly. The display is both bright and very touch sensitive, simple finger commands are performed with the upmost urgency and the jump from screen to screen is managed effortlessly; this is partly down to the Bada operating system. In Korean the word "Bada" means Ocean, the phone certainly does function with an air of fluidity about it, of course the phone doesn't move at rocket speed by its OS alone, it gets its re-enforcements from the whopping 1GHz processor it has under the hood, this monster gives the interface a heightened sensitivity and makes general application use quick and seamless.

The phone has a 5 mega pixel which has an LED flash and auto-focus is capable of snapping those unforgettable moments in a tidy VGA quality, but the real party piece where the camera is concerned is the 720p HD video recorder; it can shoot HD film at 30 frames per second in 1280 x 720 pixel resolutions and it has tons of effects and settings for you to play with. The HD video player has multi codec support for DivX, Real, Xvid, WMV and Mpeg-4; this means you can download full length HD movies to your handset for viewing anywhere.

Samsung have chosen the Dolfin web browser for Wave because it is Flash compatible, it also understands multi touch technology so zooming in and out and scrolling up and down web pages has never been easier on a Samsung device, web pages glow on the beautiful display and text is shown reasonably clearly when zoomed in. The browser is supported by various wireless bands form EDGE/GSM with both 3G and Wi Fi technology thrown in for hyper speed web connectivity. As expected Samsung have added Social Hub to the Wave's software; the Hub collects information from all of your online accounts, E-mail, Instant Messaging and SNS and organises them so contacts can be easily found and contacted, the pre-installed calendar allows you to synchronize events posted on, let's say Facebook or Twitter and organise them into your handset.

The Samsung Wave has a music player which is accompanied by Sound Alive speakers which deliver a 3D sound, the phones memory can be upgraded with the microSD slot, cards up to 32GB can be used so there is enough potential space to fit your tunes, movies and pictures, the phones Bluetooth technology has wireless device connectivity covered while the USB port sorts out you PC synchronization. The Samsung App store allows you to continually add to your collection of apps including apps for social networking, games, news and weather.

Samsung have a potential winner in there midst with the Wave, the phone boasts a simply gorgeous Super AMOLED display, e-mail and social network integration and premium web connectivity, what more could you ask for from a Smartphone? Well how about superior touch technology, a responsive and very functional user interface and an HD video recorder which will blow your mind!
